The Tsunami have cost more causalties then the"Little boy" and the "Fat man" together in
Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In 1945 estmated 170´000 people died immediately - today 12-30-2004 over 200´000 lifes have bin lost and the number are increasing.
I mentioned this to giv an understabely comparison to the huges catastrophe in Asia. It's almost
imposible to understand the power and width the nature is capable to.
The Tsunami waves did travel 5000 km approxemately in six hours - it's 800 km/h - as fast as a
jumbojets average speed.
Worth to remember is that water is really hard in high speed, in fact you can cut steel with it!
